Often people say they want success, but are not realistic about what it takes to be successful. There are those that achieve tremendous success without much apparent effort, but in my opinion this is an illusion of "effortless effort".
All the success I have seen achieved (that is of value) has unfortunately come at a cost… If you are not willing to invest time and effort in your career then I'm afraid you should prepare for disappointment.
Know what you want, be realistic about its attainability, make a deal with yourself about what you are willing to forego to achieve this (free time, sports clubs, friends, family etc.) and stick to it. Measure success against your aspirational trajectory regularly, and adjust up or down until you find your balance.
I can help you get the perspective of what long-term success looks like, but please know that it will not come as a gift in your lap.
